The Hopkins County Grand Jury has issued indictments on charges including child sexual abuse material, video voyeurism, and failing to comply with sex offender registration.
A true bill was returned on Robert Gehlhausen of Madisonville on 37 counts of possessing material showing a minor in a sexual performance, allegedly occurring between October 13, 2025, and March 3, 2026.
The charges follow a Madisonville Police investigation into child sexual abuse material. Detectives reported Gehlhausen was arrested in March after search warrants led to the discovery of images on his electronic devices, including his cellphone.
Christopher McBride of Madisonville was indicted on one count of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
McBride was arrested by Madisonville Police in March after investigators said they learned he purchased and downloaded child sexual abuse material in February 2025, reportedly through the “Dark Web.”
A true bill was issued on Wayne Richardson of Sebree on a single count of video voyeurism.
The charge dates back to February 19th, when Madisonville Police responded to Marshalls after a woman reported seeing a man filming up her skirt while shopping with her children. Although Richardson had left the area before police arrived, investigators said he was later identified through community outreach efforts.
Claude Brown of Madisonville was indicted for failing to comply with sex offender registration rules and as a first-degree persistent felony offender. The indictment states he did not notify the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office or the Office of Probation and Parole between December 22, 2025, and January 14, 2026.
