The Women’s Triangle Recovery House is gearing up for its upcoming fundraiser as the non-profit organization continues to provide a “bridge to a new life” for women battling addiction in Hopkins County.
Director Christi Heltsley says the South Scott Street facility offers a structured, faith-based program for women leaving incarceration or rehab, with a focus on life skills and long-term recovery.

Heltsley addressed the local impact of addiction and noted that Madisonville’s homelessness rate is rising, with some estimates near 400 people. While the Recovery House isn’t an emergency shelter, she said it does help residents get identification, birth certificates, and jobs.
Heltsley said community support has been strong, with local volunteers like a GE team recently helping with painting and fixing the facility’s grounds, along with donations of supplies and items.

The first one—a golf scramble—happens this Friday at Madisonville Country Club. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m., and play begins at 9:00 a.m. Teams of four can sign up for $400. There are also sponsorship opportunities, including Hole Sponsor for $150, Corporate Sponsor for $250, and something new this year is the Presenting Sponsor for $500.
