The City of Madisonville Sanitation Department will begin loose leaf collection on Tuesday, November 12, due to the Veterans Day holiday on Monday, November 11.
City officials said loose leaf collection will continue until Friday, January 3, 2025, weather permitting.
Residents are asked to pile leaves within 10 feet of the curbside without blocking the sidewalk. Officials also emphasized that the Leaf Vacuum Equipment will not collect loose leaves mixed with limbs, as this can damage the equipment.
City officials inform residents that during the loose leaf collection season, limb collection and bulk item pickup will operate on a reduced schedule.
Officials noted that starting Monday, January 6, 2025, the normal schedule for limb collection and bulk item pickup will resume. After this date, loose leaves will no longer be collected.
