DESCRIPTION:Congratulations to the Madisonville Lions Club 2024 Man & Woman of the Year!\n\n\nThe Madisonville Lions Club has selected Charles “Chuck” Shockley and Cheri McNary as this year’s honorees for their outstanding service and dedication to our community.\n\n\nCheri McNary is a Vice President at Independence Bank in Madisonville and has been a driving force behind Hopkins County Happy Feet an organization she helped form to provide quality athletic shoes to children in need. She has served as President of Hopkins County Happy Feet for the last six years\, leading efforts to ensure local students have proper footwear. She has also coordinated fundraisers such as A Chance to Dance and Adopt a Seat\, helping students and families in need. Additionally\, she volunteers her time tending the Independence Bank Green Acre Garden at Mahr Park\, supporting the Farm to Fork Dinner and other community initiatives.\n\n\nCharles “Chuck” Shockley\, a former Madisonville Police Officer\, now serves as Vice President and Chief Experience Officer at First United Bank. He has been deeply involved in numerous civic organizations\, including the Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce\, Hopkins County Tourism Commission\, YMCA Board\, and Trover Foundation Board. Chuck has volunteered for causes like the 911 Heroes Run\, Habitat for Humanity\, Hopkins County Humane Society\, Take a Kid Fishing Day\, and Home Build a Bed.
