AUDITIONS – LEND ME A TENOR – GLEMA MAHR CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Auditions for Lend Me a Tenor by Ken Ludwig will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.
and Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts on the campus
of Madisonville Community College in Madisonville, Kentucky.
THE STORY: The Tony Award-winning comedy, set in 1934, is a farce involving mistaken iden��es,
roman�c complica�ons, and opera-related chaos when a famous tenor goes missing.
The performances are February 13-15, 2026, at the Glema Center. The cast will meet on December
15 and 16 and then begin regular rehearsals on January 5. Character descrip�ons indicate roles for
a blustery general manager, his nervous assistant, a quirky daughter, a charisma�c tenor, a fiery
wife, an ambi�ous soprano, a society grande dame, and an obnoxious bellhop. Audi�ons are open
to performers age 16 and up. Those audi�oning should complete the audi�on form by visi�ng
GlemaCenter.org > Community > Audi�ons: Community Theatre. Those planning to audi�on
should prepare a comedic monologue one to two minutes in length and should be prepared for
the possibility of doing a cold read from the script. This produc�on will be directed by Jamie Moss
and stage managed by Laura Cobb.
