The Hopkins County Board of Education recently recognized a Hanson Elementary educator for her heart and her hard work in the classroom.

School officials announced that Angela Shoulders, a teacher in the autism specialized classroom at Hanson, was honored with the “Great Futures Award.”

The award highlights excellence in several areas, including student-centered impact and service. Colleagues say that Shoulders is known for treating her students like her own and maintaining daily communication with parents to ensure their success.
