Kentucky State Police are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing man who was released from the Fulton County Detention Center on Wednesday.
According to KSP Post 1, 29-year-old Alexander Penman is described as a Black man approximately 5’10” tall and weighing about 185 pounds, with a last known address in Lexington when he was released from jail.
Authorities say Penman reportedly was given a ride from Fulton to the Greyhound bus stop in Madisonville, where he was scheduled to board a bus to Louisville with a stop in Nashville, Tennessee. He was expected to arrive in Louisville on Thursday and report to the Dismas Charities St. Patrick’s Halfway House, but police say he has not shown up at this time.
Police say Penman has an active warrant for absconding from parole.
State Police say they were contacted by Penman’s family expressing concern for his well-being, as they have not seen or heard from him since his release from the Fulton County Detention Center.
Anyone with information on Penman’s whereabouts is asked to contact Kentucky State Police Post 1 at (270) 856-3721 or submit a tip through their website.
