The Madisonville Regional Airport celebrated local aviation excellence Monday night, hosting the Legends of Flight Award Ceremony that honored four outstanding aviators for their lifelong dedication and achievements.

Airport officials recognized Robert “Bob” Hartin, David Lowe, Dave Marks, and Jimmy Riddle, each honored with the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award and/or the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award—some of the highest honors presented by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Officials noted the awards, presented by Sean Smith from the FAA, reflect a lifetime of dedication, professionalism, and service to aviation. They shared that these recipients have devoted countless hours to Madisonville Regional Airport, and their contributions to the local aviation community are highly valued.

They said the night was a reminder of the rich aviation history and talent they are fortunate to have at the local airport. Officials added that the legacy of Hartin, Lowe, Marks, and Riddle in aviation is truly inspiring.
