Dawson Springs Chamber Luncheon to Honor Renowned Chef Camille Glennn

The Dawson Springs Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community to a memorable luncheon next Tuesday honoring Dawson Springs native and renowned Kentucky food historian Camille Hamby Glenn.

Chamber President and Mayor Jenny Sewell says the event is part of the America 250 Kentucky celebration and will pay tribute to Camille Hamby Glenn, a Dawson Springs native recognized as Kentucky’s most celebrated gourmet chef and the queen of southern cooking.

Born in 1909 to Henry Gordon Hamby and Iva Isabel McGregor Hamby, owners of the Hamby Hotel in Dawson Springs, Camille spent her childhood learning from her mother, who cooked nourishing, freshly prepared meals for hotel guests.
