Firefighters from several departments responded to a structure fire in St. Charles on Tuesday.

Officials with the St. Charles Fire Department say firefighters were dispatched shortly before 5:10 Tuesday morning to a house fire in the 100 block of Doc Williams Road.

Upon arrival, firefighters say they found a single-story home with heavy fire showing. Firefighters say they made entry into the home to extinguish the blaze, which was brought under control in just under an hour.

According to firefighters, no one was inside the home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.

The St. Charles Fire Department was assisted by the South Hopkins, Nortonville, and Earlington Fire Departments.
