A Madisonville woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision at Island Ford Road and the northbound off-ramp of Interstate 69 on Tuesday.
According to Madisonville Police, 65-year-old Penny Carter was heading north on Island Ford Road near the I-69 northbound off-ramp when a pickup truck driven by 45-year-old Gregory Jennings of Spring Hill, Tennessee, began turning left onto Island Ford Road from the off-ramp. Police say Carter tried to stop before the intersection, but her brakes failed, and the pedal went to the floor, causing the front of her vehicle to collide with the driver ’s-side toolbox on Jennings’ pickup.
Police say Carter was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Deaconess Hospital for suspected minor injuries.
