A Madisonville man has been arrested after an investigation into child sexual abuse material.
Madisonville Police say detectives began investigating 51-year-old Robert Gehlhausen regarding the possession of child sexual abuse material this past Friday.
On Tuesday, Gehlhausen was reportedly located and interviewed at the Madisonville Police Department.
After executing multiple search warrants, authorities say they discovered images on several of Gehlhausen’s electronic devices, including his cellphone.
During questioning, police say Gehlhausen admitted he was aware of the images.
He was charged with five counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12, and five counts of promoting a sex performance by a minor under 16. Gehlhausen was booked into the Hopkins County Jail.
