A man is facing charges after police say a healthcare worker was assaulted at the local hospital on Saturday morning.
Madisonville Police report that officers were called to Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville around 9:15 a.m. Saturday after receiving a report that a patient had punched a healthcare worker in the face.
When officers arrived, they reportedly found the patient, Corbin Moore, being physically restrained by several staff members and security due to his violent behavior.
According to police, the victim said Moore punched him in the face for no reason, resulting in visible redness and swelling around his right eye.
Authorities said Moore was taken into custody with help from several officers and hospital staff and was booked into Hopkins County Jail on a charge of third-degree assault of a healthcare worker.
