The Hopkins County Family YMCA Competition Dance Team delivered standout performances at the Starquest Dance Competition in Lebanon, Tennessee this past weekend.
According to local YMCA officials, the teams and soloists competed alongside more than 400 other entries and represented Hopkins County well.
In the Junior Hip Hop Team competition, the YMCA team earned fifth place overall and received a Platinum Rating. The Junior Jazz Team took second place overall, was honored with the Odyssey Award for Most Entertaining Junior Team, and also earned a Platinum Rating.
Junior soloist Emma Larkins achieved a Platinum Plus Rating, the Top Score in the Junior Jazz category, and second place overall among Junior Soloists. Junior soloist Addison Carter received a High Gold Rating.
Teen soloist Anna Liliker and senior soloist Danielle Evans both received High Gold Ratings. Senior soloist Ava Caskey was awarded a Platinum Rating, a Judges Award, and finished 17th overall among Senior Soloists.
