
The Madisonville City Council received an update about the recent winter storm and approved a new Code Enforcement Board member during Monday’s meeting.
Transportation Superintendent Landon Gamblin said some areas received at least six inches of snow and wintry mix, requiring the use of more than 350 tons of salt on the City’s streets.

In response to a question from a council member about a weekend event at the Kentucky Sports Factory, Mayor Cotton shared that nearly 4,000 attended the Queen of Kentucky Volleyball Tournament, with as many as 699 vehicles parked at one time. He noted it was an “incredible sight to see.”
