
The Madisonville City Council was presented the monthly and annual reports for the Madisonville Fire Department at its latest meeting.
Chief Jason Eli reported that the department responded to almost 170 calls during December.
click to download audioHe noted that, on average across all stations, response time from dispatch was 1 minute and 58 seconds, with an average arrival time of 5 minutes and 5 seconds. He said crews spent an average of 21 minutes and 39 seconds at each scene.
According to Chief Eli, the department logged 447 hours of training, completed 27 fire prevention inspections, and addressed 63 code enforcement cases.
Chief Eli went on to present the 2025 annual report, noting that the fire department responded to nearly 1,700 calls throughout the year.
click to download audioFor the year, he reported department personnel logged 16,042 hours of training and completed 552 fire prevention pre-plans, they handled 2,998 code inspection cases, hosted 149 community programs, and issued eleven smoke alarms. Chief Eli said their outreach included just under 17,000 adult contacts and just over 16,000 child contacts for the year.
