The Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport announced some big news last week. On Thursday, officials announced flights to Charlotte, North Carolina will begin February 26, 2026.
Officials say this new route to Charlotte Douglas International Airport opens a second major hub for the community and gives local travelers even easier access to the eastern United States, the South, the Caribbean, and international destinations.
Flights to Charlotte will operate every day except Tuesdays and Saturdays, while flights to Chicago will still be available 7 days a week.
Tickets for the new route went on sale Monday at contourairlines.com.
