Drivers need to be aware that a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be conducting highway maintenance at the intersection of U.S. 41, U.S. 41A, and Kentucky 281 in Madisonville next week.
On Wednesday, December 3, officials say crews will be milling pavement and applying temporary striping along Kentucky 281, known locally as Island Ford Road, from Chelsea Drive to Main Street, U.S. 41A from Main Street to Briar Wood Drive, and U.S. 41 (North Main Street) from the intersection to Chelsea Drive.
Weather permitting, the roads will be repaved on Thursday, December 4.
