Hopkins County Jailer Updates Fiscal Court on ICE Housing

Last week, the Fiscal Court received an update on inmate housing and revenue at the Hopkins County Detention Center.

Jailer Mike Lewis reported a total of 240 inmates at the jail as of Tuesday morning, with approximately 175 held for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He noted that ICE inmates are transported about twice a week, and that housing them has brought in over $1 million in revenue for the facility so far this year.
