As the holiday season approaches, Hosparus Health Western Kentucky is reaching out to the community with an opportunity to remember and honor loved ones who have passed.
Hosparus Health Western Kentucky is inviting families, friends, and members of the community to attend its annual Service of Remembrance, which will be held on Tuesday, December 9, at 6:00 p.m. at Event Barn A in Mahr Park Arboretum, located at 465 Mahr Park Road in Madisonville.
Officials say the service offers a chance to honor and celebrate the lives of Hosparus Health patients who have passed away, along with the loved ones who trusted the organization throughout their care journey. The evening will include music, readings, and moments of reflection, followed by a chicken dinner, with a vegetarian option available.
In a written statement, Marissa Wood, Bereavement Counselor at Hosparus Health Western Kentucky, shared that during this season of gathering, the absence of loved ones can be deeply felt. She added that grief can unexpectedly highlight the significance and meaning of the holidays, allowing us to keep those special individuals close in our hearts and minds.
Everyone in the community who is grieving the loss of a loved one is welcome to attend. Attendees are asked to register by December 3 and provide the number of guests who will be attending.
Registration: Online at HosparusHealth.org/Grief-Counseling or by calling 502-992-0772.
