Madisonville North Hopkins High School is set to welcome the community at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, for a special ribbon-cutting event, marking the grand opening of its new auxiliary gym and storm shelter.

Hopkins County Schools Communications and Community Engagement Specialist Lori Harrison said the event will feature an open house, allowing guests to take self-guided tours of the new addition, which includes the Auxiliary Gym, Storm Shelter, and multipurpose room.

In July, Hopkins County Central High School marked the opening of its new auxiliary gym and storm shelter with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Governor Andy Beshear.

Harrison also reminded the community that Madisonville North Hopkins High School’s Maroon Madness festivities will kick off at 6 p.m.
