
64 troopers and officers across Kentucky were recognized for their new promotions at a ceremony in Frankfort, Thursday.
Kentucky State Police say locally at post 1, Captain David Archer was promoted to Major, Sergeant David Dick was promoted to Lieutenant, and Trooper Aaron Jestes was promoted to Sergeant.
Police say at post 2, Lieutenant John Hindman was promoted to Captain, Sergeant Jonathan Murphy was promoted to Lieutenant, Sergeant Justin Rundles was promoted to Lieutenant, Trooper Justin Cornett was promoted to Sergeant, Trooper James Martin was promoted to Sergeant, and Trooper Richard Carroll was promoted to Sergeant and is assigned to the Critical Incident Response Team.
Kentucky State Police Commissioner Phillip Burnett Jr. and Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman presented plaques commemorating the service of all those who were promoted to their new roles.
Burnett commended the group for their professionalism and perseverance, reminding them that true leadership is measured by the example they set: “Leadership isn’t defined by rank but by responsibility.
