Kerstain Wilson mugshot/McCracken County Jail
A traffic stop in McCracken County last week led to the arrest of a Madisonville woman on multiple charges.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office reports a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Kerstain Wilson was pulled over on Metropolis Lake Road for a traffic violation around 11:25 p.m. Friday.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies reported hearing a sound like glass striking the pavement near where Wilson was standing, leading to the discovery of a glass smoking pipe under the deputy’s vehicle, which they said Wilson had tossed.
Authorities said that as Wilson was being taken into custody, she resisted, resulting in a brief struggle. After she was taken into custody, Wilson was reportedly transported to a local hospital for medical treatment due to injuries during the altercation.
Wilson was charged with tampering with physical evidence, operating a motor vehicle under the influence, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, and disregarding a stop sign. She was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
