Gregory Faith/Hopkins County Jail mugshot
A Nortonville man is facing drug and weapon charges after local law enforcement went to a residence to serve a bench warrant on someone else.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 9:00 Monday morning, deputies served a Hopkins County Circuit Court bench warrant for failure to appear on 27-year-old Maranda Almon on Mockingbird Drive in Nortonville, which led to several discoveries.
According to deputies, Almon was found inside an RV, where several glass pipes with burnt residue were in plain view on the floor. They said 52-year-old Gregory Faith was also found in the RV and admitted that the pipes were his and claimed to have meth. Deputies said they also found a small bag of suspected meth, two empty holsters, and a Smith and Wesson .380 pistol. Authorities also confirmed Faith is a convicted felon.
Almon was arrested on the outstanding bench warrant, while Faith was taken into custody and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Both were lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
