Webster County High School Awarded Grant to Upgrade Tennis Courts

Webster County Schools is set to serve up fresh improvements at its high school, thanks to a grant from the United States Tennis Association.

According to school officials, the Webster County Board of Education has been awarded $8,800 from the United States Tennis Association’s Tennis Venue Services Funding to resurface three 78-foot tennis courts at Webster County High School and add four 36-foot and three 60-foot blended tennis playing lines.

The goal of the grant is to give communities access to safe, appealing, and functional tennis spaces.

In a letter to Webster County Schools, United States Tennis Association representatives said they are pleased to work with Webster County High School to support this project in Dixon. They added that the initiative is designed to help communities use their tennis facilities to encourage lifelong healthy activity and enhance programming with the latest tennis innovations for all types of players.
