City officials have announced the Wings Over Western Kentucky Air Show will return to Madisonville on Saturday, October 4, bringing high-flying excitement, family-friendly activities, and an unforgettable spectacular nighttime finale.
Gates at the Madisonville Regional Airport will open at 2:00 PM, with daytime performances kicking off at 5:00 PM. After a sunset intermission, the night show will light up the sky at 7:00 PM, followed by a spectacular fireworks finale at 8:00 PM.
According to officials, this year’s event features world-class aerial performers, skydivers, jet-powered ground acts, a Kid Zone, and local food vendors, making it a must-attend fall celebration for all ages.
Featured acts include:
Team Fast Trax – One of the largest professional skydiving teams in the world, returning to Madisonville with thrilling skydives and stunts during both the day and night shows.
Nathan Hammond in the “GhostWriter” – Back by popular demand, this master skywriter and aerobatic pilot will paint the skies with smiley faces and messages, visible for miles. Catch his mesmerizing performance in both daylight and under the stars.
Dragon’s Fyre Jet Truck – The roaring 1940 Ford Pickup with a jet engine returns! Watch it blaze across the runway at jaw-dropping speeds — and don’t miss the flames lighting up the night.
Mike & Sam’s Trygvasson WingWalking – A first-time addition to the Madisonville airshow, this death-defying duo will perform breathtaking stunts as they climb out of the cockpit and walk on the wings in mid-air. At night, they’ll switch gears to a dazzling aerial fireworks display.
Kyle Fowler’s Long EZ, Wild Blue RV-8A, and Nathan Hammond – All three recently performed at EAA’s AirVenture in Oshkosh, the largest airshow in the country. If you missed them at Oshkosh, don’t miss your chance to see them here in Madisonville.
Thom Richard in the FM-2 “Wilder Wildcat” – This authentic World War II fighter aircraft, flown by the Navy and Marines, will perform in the day show only.
