Hopkins County Schools has been recognized for its dedication to workplace safety with a substantial financial reward.

School officials announced last week that the district received a dividend check for more than $40,000 from Kentucky Employers’ Mutual Insurance (KEMI), the provider of the district’s workers’ compensation insurance. They said the dividend is the result of the school district’s commitment to improving workplace safety.

Skip McGaw, senior vice president with HUB International, recently presented the check to Superintendent Dr. Damon Fleming, Assistant Superintendent Marty Cline, and Chief Financial Officer Eydie Tate.
