All Webster County Schools have been recognized by the Alliance for a Healthier Generation as among America’s Healthiest Schools for 2025.
This annual honor highlights schools that implement outstanding practices to support the well-being of students, staff, and families. This year, officials noted that 1,120 schools nationwide—including 134 in Kentucky—earned this distinction.
In a written statement, Kathy Higgins, CEO of Healthier Generation, emphasized the important role schools play in shaping the health and well-being of the nation’s youth, adding that their exceptional efforts are well deserving of recognition. She praised school leaders, educators, and staff for their extraordinary dedication to supporting students’ physical, emotional, and academic needs, noting that their commitment is helping create healthier futures for children and communities across the country.
Since 2007, Healthier Generation has recognized 3,347 schools through its America’s Healthiest Schools program for their influential work in supporting the health and well-being of students, staff, and families. The organization provides schools with tools for assessment and action planning to help establish learning environments that nurture every aspect of a child’s development.
