NEW VOLUNTEERS – GLEMA MAHR CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Glema Center Welcomes New Volunteers

Madisonville, KY – August 19, 2025 – The Glema Mahr Center for the Arts invites prospective new volunteers to attend an information and training session at the Glema Center on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 6:00 pm.

“Our volunteers are invaluable,” said Director Toby Roberts. “They are the heart of the Glema Center. We could not successfully support our mission of making the arts accessible and enjoyable to the community without them.”

Returning volunteers are welcome to attend this session, although attendance is not mandatory to remain on the call list for the new season.

The Glema Center’s 2025/26 Season, spanning from September to July, includes 22 ticketed performances, as well as School Days Matinees, choral festivals, band assessments, MCC Singers concerts, and other community events.

Volunteers typically serve as greeters, ticket takers, and ushers. Once the audience is seated and a performance has begun, volunteers sit in designated areas to enjoy the show. They are permitted—but not required—to attend every event of the season. Individuals, families, friends, and civic organizations are encouraged to consider this opportunity. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, or 16 and working alongside a guardian.
