The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Heat Advisory for western Kentucky and southwest Indiana from Noon Saturday to 7:00 PM Tuesday.
While high temperatures will be in the upper 90s and lower 100s, heat index values up to 106 degrees are expected.
NWS officials said if you have to be outside, be sure to drink plenty of fluids, wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing, and try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening hours. Additionally, you should take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
