Several local leaders joined counterparts from around the globe at the recent Global Leadership Summit, a training event centered on innovation, inspiration, and impactful leadership.
City of Madisonville officials said the summit featured engaging sessions and amazing speakers who encouraged attendees to broaden their vision, lead with greater strength, and serve their communities with purpose.
In addition, Amanda Stokes, Director of Aging and Independent Living, and Jared Nelson, Community and Economic Development Projects Coordinator, represented the Pennyrile Area Development District at the event.
According to PeADD officials, more than 350,000 participants viewed the Global Leadership Summit at host sites across over 100 countries.
PeADD officials also mentioned that participants in Madisonville had the chance to take part in a community service project, where 200 backpacks filled with school supplies were prepared for the Hopkins County Family Resource Youth Service Center.
