Hundreds of local families attended the Hopkins County Schools Back-to-School Community Resource Bash on Thursday, where students and parents connected with vital community resources and collected free school supplies for the year ahead.

Gamblin explained the event began a few years ago through a partnership with the Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation and community members who saw the need to help families with back-to-school supplies and hygiene products.
