Fundraising for Dawson Springs Community Center Continues on Saturday

The Dawson Springs Community Center’s 77th annual fundraising event continues on Saturday, featuring a car show, 5K, and golf tournament.

Kathy Nichols, a member of the Community Center’s Board, says the 5K and car show are set to kick off Saturday morning.

click to download audioThe golf tournament will take place at Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park, with Nichols adding that there are still spots open for groups of four.

click to download audioThe entry fee is $300 per team, with all proceeds supporting the Community Center. Nichols noted that teams can bring their registration fee to the Pennyrile Golf Course on Saturday morning, but need to call the Pro Shop in advance to get signed up.

She also mentioned that several classes have planned reunions at Pennyrile on Saturday night, giving attendees a chance to share a meal and reconnect.

Nichols shared that it warms her heart seeing the community come together year after year to support the Dawson Springs Community Center, calling it an event that truly brings people together.
