(Christopher Looney/Hopkins County Jail mugshot)
A Madisonville man was arrested Tuesday on multiple charges after sheriff’s deputies responded to a complaint on Wilbur James Road.
According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, 44-year-old Christopher Looney was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, third-degree terroristic threatening, menacing, and public intoxication.
Deputies said Looney was taken into custody after threatening to shoot his father-in-law by pointing a 9 mm handgun at him during a verbal argument. Deputies also reported finding a loaded 9 mm handgun on the kitchen table and noted that Looney smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech, and was unsteady on his feet.
Looney was booked into the Hopkins County Jail.
