At Monday night’s meeting, newly appointed Hopkins County Board of Education member Martha Phelps was officially sworn in by board attorney Keith Cartwright.
Phelps will represent Division 1, filling the seat left vacant by the retirement of Josh Osborne.
Phelps serves as office manager and performs appraisal research for G. Herbert Pritchett & Associates. She previously worked as a business administration instructor and director of the TRIO Talent Search program at Madisonville Community College. Phelps holds both a master’s in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Murray State University.
