Leadership Hopkins County recently recognized Candy Skinner, the 2025 Richard A. Byrnes Leadership Award winner.
Leadership officials said her classmates describe Skinner as “someone who listens deeply, brings people together, and shows up–consistently, and often when it matters most.” They also said, “Her love for this community is evident in every interaction, every relationship she builds, and every effort she makes to create a sense of belonging.”
According to officials, the late Richard A. Byrnes was a past administrator of Regional Medical Center, who was instrumental in the development and success of the local Leadership Program. In recognition of his unwavering commitment to the program and the broader community, Leadership Hopkins County established the Richard A. Byrnes Leadership Award.
