Hopkins County Student Artists Honored for Anti-Tobacco and Vaping Campaign

Officials from Hopkins County Schools recently celebrated the artistic achievements of local students who participated in a contest to create artwork to discourage tobacco use and vaping.

The contest was sponsored by the Hopkins County Health Department, with prizes provided by Hopkins County ASAP.

School officials announced that Aliyah Warran emerged as the overall winner, with her artwork set to be showcased on a billboard. McKenzie Patterson secured 2nd place at the high school level, while Teighan Martinez earned 3rd place. All three attend Hopkins County Central High School.

In the middle school category, officials announced that Ally Kong secured 1st place, followed by Deacon Baldwin in 2nd, and Bryleigh Davis in 3rd, with all three students from James Madison Middle School.

Among the elementary students, Sadie Hofmann on Jesse Stuart won 1st place, while Ethan Stevenson of Pride Elementary placed 2nd, and Ava Gipson, also of Pride Elementary, received 3rd place.

According to officials, the overall winner received a prize of $125, while $75 was awarded for 1st place, $50 for 2nd place, and $25 for 3rd place.
