4th District State Representative Wade Williams
The Madisonvile-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation has announced that the Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Wade Williams as the new president.
Officials said Williams brings extensive leadership experience and deep ties to the community. They said as a US Army veteran, he served 16 years in active duty and reserve service, including in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Williams is also the former Police Chief of Madisonville, where officials said he helped the city gain recognition as one of the safest in the state. Beyond his public service, he has held leadership positions at Baptist Health Deaconess and Downey Professional Construction.
Officials noted that Williams’ experience in both the public and private sectors, along with his strong understanding of local, state, and federal systems, makes him well-positioned to lead the Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation’s efforts in business expansion and industry recruitment throughout Madisonville and Hopkins County.
EDC officials said they look forward to ongoing progress and opportunities in the community with Williams taking on the role of president.
Williams also serves as the District 4 state representative.
