Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Promotes First Female Sergeant

In a groundbreaking milestone for the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, a female deputy has been promoted to Sergeant, marking the first time a woman has attained this rank in the agency’s history.

According to Spokesman Major Charles Young, Falon Outlaw began her law enforcement career with the Madisonville Police Department in July 2012 and transitioned to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office in 2023. Major Young mentioned that during his tenure at the Madisonville Police Department, he served as her lieutenant, and she was part of one of his patrol units.
