Madisonville Police reported stopping a vehicle near Exit 111 on Interstate 69 for tailgating. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers encountered the driver and a passenger, 28-year-old Selexus Zamperla, who they said appeared to be under the influence of a substance. When Zamperla opened the glove box to retrieve paperwork, police said they noticed used hypodermic needles, which she attempted to hide under the papers.
During a search of the vehicle, police reportedly discovered Zamperla’s purse containing three baggies of suspected meth packaged for individual sale, digital scales with suspected meth residue, and cash. According to police, Zamperla admitted that the contraband was hers and that she had recently used meth.
