Members of the Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation, alongside county and city officials, gathered on Monday to celebrate the groundbreaking of an industrial project, marking a significant step forward in regional economic growth and industrial readiness.
According to officials, the groundbreaking took place at a 16.8 acre site on Highway 41A that is currently under construction. Once completed, officials said this Build Ready-certified site will offer a fully-prepared 100,000 square foot pad, ideal for future industrial development.
Officials stated that the project was made possible through the collaboration and support of the Madisonville-Hopkins County Economic Development Corporation, the Hopkins County Industrial Authority, and the Hopkins County Development Corporation.
Officials explained that having a Build Ready site significantly reduces the time it takes for industries to become operational. Officials highlighted that this focus on speed to market enhances the site’s appeal to companies seeking to quickly establish or expand their operations.
