If you are traveling in Hopkins County this week, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is warning of several work zones that could slow down your commute.
While Monday is clear for the Memorial Day holiday, road crews will be out in force starting Tuesday through Friday.
Expect lane closures on Interstate 69 for brush-cutting activities. In addition, ditching work on KY 1246 near mile marker zero to one will reduce traffic to a single lane, with flaggers directing drivers through the area.
State officials also remind drivers to watch out for mowing crews on various local routes throughout the week.
The cabinet notes that all scheduled work depends on the weather and is subject to change. Drivers are urged to slow down and use extra caution in all work zones.
