A Madisonville man faces multiple drug charges after a Wednesday evening traffic stop led to his arrest.
Madisonville Police say 36-year-old Dustin Wallace was taken into custody just before 7 p.m. on North Seminary Street.
According to police, Madisonville police pulled a vehicle over for an obstructed windshield. Police say Wallace was a front-seat passenger in the car. Officers say they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle, and the driver gave them consent to search it.
Investigators say an officer conducting a pat-down felt a smoking pipe in Wallace’s pocket that he allegedly tried to hide. A further search revealed Wallace was carrying three separate containers with suspected meth, marijuana, and synthetic marijuana.
Wallace was charged with first-degree trafficking in meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a subsequent offense of possession of synthetic drugs.
He was transported to the Hopkins County Detention Center.
