A Livermore woman faces drug charges following a Wednesday night traffic stop in Madisonville.
Madisonville Police say 36-six-year-old Loretta Forbes was arrested just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of East Center Street and Buckner Street.
According to the arrest citation, officers pulled Forbes over to verify her insurance registration. During the stop, dispatchers informed officers that Forbes was operating on a suspended license.
Investigators say an officer noticed a T-H-C vape pen in Forbes’ lap and smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. During a search of her vehicle, police say they found a large quantity of meth, along with digital scales and marijuana.
Forbes was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for methamphetamine, operating on a suspended license, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to produce an insurance card.
She was booked into the Hopkins County jail.
