While many high school seniors are preparing for college, dozens of students in Hopkins County are pledging their futures directly to the workforce.
According to school officials, 36 graduating seniors gathered at the Mahr Park Arboretum on Thursday for the annual Career Signing Day.
Organized by the Hopkins County Career and Technology Center, the event celebrated students committing to careers in healthcare, automotive service, and the military.
The program featured a welcome from Assistant County Attorney Hillary Croft and recognition of the seniors by instructional leader Sarah Sowders.
Superintendent Dr. Damon Fleming closed the ceremony by thanking the local businesses and organizations for investing in these students as they transition into their professional lives.
Pictures of the students and their career partners can be found on the Hopkins County Career and Technology Center Facebook page.
