A Dawson Springs man and woman, who were reportedly linked to a child sexual abuse material investigation in Texas, have been indicted by a Hopkins County grand jury.

A true bill was returned on Brittney Monahan on one count of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 years of age, two counts of prohibited use of electronic means to induce a minor under age 12 to engage in sexual activity, and five counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 18.

Landon Talley was indicted on three counts of prohibited use of electronic means to induce a minor under the age of 12 to engage in sexual activity by using a communication system, four counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12, five counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 18 years of age, and ten counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12 years of age.

In addition, both Monahan and Talley were indicted on charges of trafficking meth, possession of suboxone, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The pair was arrested in March after Madisonville Police were notified by the FBI about a child sexual abuse material investigation, after an arrest in Hubbard, Texas, for possession of child pornography. Police said the FBI discovered that Monahan and Talley had been texting their suspect between March and April 2025. According to police, they received transcripts of those messages and the search warrants used to identify Monahan and Talley.

Madisonville Police said they reviewed the message and determined that both Monahan and Talley were engaging in conversations about sexual fantasies involving children, and also received multiple child sexual abuse material images from the suspect in Texas.

Afterwards, when Madisonville Police detectives located the couple at an apartment complex in Dawson Springs, they were taken into custody in March 2026. Detectives, with the assistance of the Dawson Springs Police Department, executed a search warrant at the residence and on the couple’s pickup truck. Detectives said they found large amounts of suspected meth inside both the residence and the truck, along with drug paraphernalia such as new needles, small ziplock baggies, multiple sets of scales with suspected meth residue, and a baggie containing suspected Suboxone pills.
