Local students are preparing to take the stage next week as the annual District Talent Show series returns to the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts.

The showcase, presented by the Madisonville Community College Lions Club and Hopkins County Schools, kicks off Tuesday, April 28th, with the Elementary School show. The series continues on Thursday, April 30th, featuring performers from the Middle and High Schools. Both events begin at 6 p.m.

Audiences will also see special guest performances from Mollie Robinson on Tuesday and Kohl Arnett on Thursday.

Admission is $5 by cash or check, but you can get a discount by bringing an eyeglass donation, which drops the price to $3. For those using a card, the cost is $6. Pizza and drinks will be available for purchase at the venue.

The event is a collaboration between the schools, the Lions Club, and the Glema Mahr Center, with talent coordinated by the district’s Gifted and Talented services.
