A Providence man was arrested on Tuesday following a traffic stop that led to a significant drug discovery.

According to the Webster County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped 49-year-old Ali Avery just before 6:30 Tuesday morning for careless driving on U-S 41-A South near Providence.

During the stop, investigators searched the vehicle, which reportedly uncovered a large amount of suspected meth that was already weighed and packaged for sale. Authorities say they also seized cash and drug paraphernalia from the vehicle.
