According to the nomination by retired superintendent Amy Smith, the staff stands out for building genuine relationships with at-risk students and their families, helping young people feel supported and ready to learn and grow.
Hopkins County Day Treatment was also recently named an Alternative Education Program of Distinction by the Kentucky Department of Education. This recognition is given to programs with exemplary practices focusing on diversity, inclusion, and community support.
