Drivers in Hopkins County need to be prepared for traffic disruptions this week as another large equipment delivery is scheduled for a local power plant project on A C Slaton Road.
Major Charles Young with the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department has announced that the transport of power plant equipment is scheduled to begin around 9:00 Thursday morning, and take approximately 4 hours to complete. He says crews will move the equipment from West Yard on Beulah Road, also known as Kentucky Highway 70, to A C Slaton Road.
Hopkins County deputies will help manage traffic, and drivers should prepare for potential delays and detours in the area.
From March 25th to 27th, the Sheriff’s Office assisted with traffic control while oversized equipment was transported for the Kentucky Municipal Energy Agency’s Energy Center 1 project, resulting in delays and disruptions for motorists in the same area.
